Your first visit

Starting therapy comes with questions. Here is how to request an appointment, plan for the cost, and get ready to meet your clinician.

How getting started works

  1. Request a time

Open our secure scheduling page. Select a practitioner, an initial session, and an available time.

  2. Wait for confirmation

Your request needs to be confirmed before it is placed on the schedule. We’ll follow up about next steps and any information needed before your visit.

  3. Come as you are

The first session is a chance to get to know each other, discuss what brought you in, and consider what you want from therapy. You do not need to have everything figured out.

Who we work with

Finding the Right Fit

Each clinician serves different populations and brings distinct areas of training and specialization. We’ll consider your needs, preferences, and scheduling requirements when helping you find an appropriate match. Availability and fit vary by clinician and service.

In-person care

Care is primarily in person at our Akron office. Telehealth is generally available only to established patients who have been with the practice for at least a year, with certain exceptions such as inclement weather or personal or family illness. Please contact us about your circumstances.
